Today is my 50th post! Happy 50th M!!
Look what I found on a link from the OFFICIAL Vic Gov education website. Wait til I get back to school and run this by the PCOs who ban everything technological from post-1975! Ok, slight exaggeration, but I do feel stifled as a teacher in terms of the technology that my school allows us to use with the students.
"When you think of weblogging do not just think about writing. There are new and exciting tools and innovations coming out every day. Amazing teachers are applying Wikis, Podcasts, Handheld technology and even the dreaded Mobile Phone in their classrooms. You will be add samples of your work using these tools to the weblog pages that you create here."
http://globalteacher.org.au/funky-stuff/ (I'm sorry, but I still don't know how to do this the blog-itically correct way- can anyone post me a comment and enlighten me?)
So, it's amazing teachers who are doing this?? You mean there are people out there using technology in their classrooms and students are learning from it?? That's insane (please, please detect the sarcastic tone I am indulging in here!)
Maybe I could be one of these amazing teachers one day...if only my PCO's would let me :(

To create links, highlight the word or phrase in your post that you want to use as the link, then click on the little linky icon thing to the right of your B, I and U buttons. Type in the URL and hey presto, you become a technologically savvy blogger.
Good luck for your teaching in 2007. May your school get a clue as to how teenagers, and the world in general, operates these days.
Thankyou for the tech-tip! Now I can teach someone else how to do this :)
