The spiky end of the year...very spiky!

It is not only Christmas trees that are pointed at this time of year... I've noticed the relations at school also get a bit spiky! Perhaps I'm feeling comfortable now that I have ongoing work. Or is it because I know the personalities around this school a little better now. Whatever it is, I'm writing letters of complaint and firing skank eyes at sooo many people. Let me write a list...so that the gist is clearer...and my mind.

1. Co-ordinators who don't corrent their own pastoral care groups reports
2. Reviewers who don't tell you what to do in the review until the last minute
3. People who correct reports and want you to change things that are correct
4. Facilities co-ordinators who want you to move desks (from big luxurious spacious blue ones, to little old 70's browned cramped ones) (I won't be made to sit at a desk that is older than me!!)
5. Program organisers who agree with you one minute and do something else entirely different behind your back....all with your best intentions at heart, of course (spew!)

I guess my saving grace amongst all this is that my "Leader" for next year likes me. And he doesn't like many other people (or them him). He thinks I'm quirky and honest. Which is helpful...I think it was when he made the comment that I could have brushed my hair this morning (I'm going for the bushy, dishevelled beach look) and I quipped that he probably didn't brush his hair this morning either (he only has token side hair...bald on top). I wasn't sure how that would go down, but he didn't seem to mind. Then I made a comment about something I had observed about him and he said I was the first person to ever say that to him...he thinks I am his prodigy. He said he will teach me to master some of his valuable skills. Hmmmm?

Now.... where the hell am I going to be next year??? One bad office or the other?

Bye for now,
M x
